Below is an edit of my first engagement photoshoot. This shoot is extra important to me as these photographs are of my college roommate, Caitlin and her fiancé Andrew. When I met Andy a few years ago I knew immediately he was the one for Caitlin. They fit together so perfectly. While I have always been cynical this love turns me to complete mush. Being witness to their relationship is a gift in itself and I hope these photographs capture how special it is to be around them.
The day of the shoot held typical Syracuse weather; cool, rainy, and overcast. We warmed up at the historical stairs in Elmwood Park and were headed to Green Lakes when the rain really started coming down. We retreated back to Kate and Andy's apartment for some lunch. They were just so adorable I couldn't resist taking a few shots! Eventually the rain let up enough for us to journey to the state park Green Lakes. Green Lakes has sentimental value for many who went to Syracuse University and none of us are an exception. It cannot have been a coincidence that the rain finally let up in time for us to find some patches of nice light before dark.
An enormous thank you to Kate and Andy for trusting me to take their engagement photographs.
An even bigger CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement. xx
